ROTARACT CLUB OF RVCE
The Rotaract Club of RVCE organized "NAIVEDYAM" on October 7, 2023, in a slum area near Banashankari, Bengaluru. Alongside 10 collaborating clubs, we provided meals to over 700 people across Bangalore, Belgaum, and Chennai—550 in Bangalore, 50 in Belgaum, and 120 in Chennai. Our success was made possible through collaboration with various clubs including RaC Jyoti Nivas College, RaC BMSCE, RaC Bangalore United, RaC PES University (from our district), and RaC MGR University (RID 3232), RaC Faculty of Science, University of Colombo (RID 3220), RaC Belgaum Central (RID 3170), RaC Greater Tezpur (RID 3240), RaC Secunderabad (RID 3150), and RaC Coimbatore Smart City (RID 3201) from other districts.
On November 12, 2023, the Rotaract Club of RVCE visited Jeevitha Anathashrama, an orphanage in Bengaluru, spreading love and kindness on the auspicious day of Diwali. The visit aimed to illuminate the lives of the children, creating cherished memories that will forever shine brightly in their hearts.
"MEGA LETTERHEAD EXCHANGE" was a successful event organized by Rac RVCE on November 25, 2023. Bringing together over 40 Rotaract clubs, both local and international, this event facilitated virtual connections among more than 150 Rotaractors. It served as a platform for sharing experiences and ideas, highlighting the diverse perspectives that enrich Rotaract. The presence of esteemed guests from the district added to the event's significance. "MEGA LETTERHEAD EXCHANGE" symbolized unity and cooperation, fundamental values within the Rotaract community.
The 4th edition of the mega-event "RUSH HOURS" provided participants with a refreshing break from their stressful routines. Spanning five days from November 26, 2023, this community service and professional development project comprised a pre-event task to engage participants, followed by eight main tasks. Over 250 students took part, contributing to its resounding success.
Uptown Junk 2.0 was a professional development event that showcased participants' skills and creativity. With over 350 participants, the two-day event featured two rounds: a treasure hunt and a best-out-of-waste competition. It combined adventure and innovation, highlighting problem-solving abilities in the treasure hunt and celebrating resourcefulness and imagination in the best-out-of-waste competition.
"ELEVATE" on December 20th and 21st was a dynamic two-day event featuring four sub-events: Newspaper Reporting, Distorted Images Story, Keeping Up with the Trends, and The Sarcastic Sale. Designed to push participants out of their comfort zones and enhance their professional skills, it provided a fun-filled atmosphere for growth.
In December 2023, the Rotaract Club of RVCE hosted "Secret Santa," with 150 volunteers spreading joy across four orphanages on Christmas. Activities included games, storytelling, and dancing, creating lasting memories and a festive spirit. This project showcased the club's commitment to social responsibility, benefiting both children and volunteers. Orphanages visited: Sri Sai Sneha Foundation, Sneha Jyoti Orphanage, Jana Seva Orphanage, and Chinmayi Foundation.
The Fast Trek 2.0, organized by the Rotaract Club of RVCE, on the 28th of January, 2024, showcased the club's commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement. The event focused on a cleanliness drive during the trek, emphasizing environmental preservation. With enthusiastic participation from college students, the trek blended adventure with a dedication to nature. Over 750 individuals enjoyed the picturesque Kunagalu Hills, making the trek a resounding success.
Awaaz, an innovative initiative by the Rotaract Club of RVCE, aims to produce educational audiobooks in various languages. Phase 1 has successfully concluded with over 500 audiobooks received, including recordings in English (about 250), Hindi (80), Marathi (40), Telugu (30), Gujarati (7), Tamil (20), Kannada (65), Bengali (8), and Malayalam (20). This overwhelming response underscores the community's dedication and support for this crucial initiative. Moving forward to Phase 2, we will collaborate with NGOs nationwide to distribute these valuable resources to those in need.
The Rotaract Club of RVCE successfully completed both phases of "Fist Full," a project centered around the simple yet impactful act of donating rice and dal. Phase 1 gathered 325 kg of rice, 115 kg of dal, 20 kg of wheat flour, and 15 kg of moong dal, sustaining 91 refugee orphans and underprivileged children for three months. This initiative, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bangalore Spandana, District 3191, reflects our commitment to community impact. Phase 2 continued this mission, collecting 1640 kg of rice and 600 kg of dal, supporting Sai Gurukul School in Tigalarpalya, Bengaluru. Sai Gurukul offers free education, food, health drinks, study materials, and uniforms up to Class X for underprivileged children, thanks to public voluntary donations. Recognized by the State Board of Karnataka, the institution operates under the patronage of the Satguna Sangraha Trust, sustained by the generosity of public voluntary donations.
The Rotaract Club of RVCE organized "AGRAG," an event focused on enhancing students' leadership and professional skills. Participants engaged in activities like Group Discussion, Mock Interviews, and a Shark Tank-style challenge, aimed at improving communication and presentation abilities. Working in teams of three, students navigated through various scenarios, showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit while fostering collaboration and healthy competition. Winners were recognized with gift cards, motivating them for further growth.
